This
collaboration wants to offer free services to the neediest persons
of the community in accordance to the policy of fight against
poverty of Government of Kenya. |
The following conditions are an integrated part of the agreement: |
1° The agreement starts from 1st of June, 2003, and may be renewed each six months at discretion of the parties. |
2° The Kenyan Basic Health Care Services undertakes the entire responsibility of organization and management of the services offered through its local offices. |
3° The program of the Curative Mobile Clinic (CMC) will be followed up on weekly basis, or depending on emergencies, and will include the villages not provided with governmental dispensaries. |
4° The car will be parked and attended by a person chosen by CCM in Obbu-Uran Division. |
5° The caretaker will allow the car to be used exclusively for the purpose of the present agreement and to the pertinent competences, i.e. to the Public Health Office, Mr. Waqo Kadu, and to Mr. Isaiah Oba of CCS – Sololo, according to the agreement undersigned by the latter and hereby enclosed for further information. |
6° The car maintenance is entrusted to the caretaker on his own responsibility and discretion. |

The driver has to be chosen each time in agreement between the parties
preferring those entrusted by CCM. |
8° The intention to support the governmental dispensaries means: supply of essential drugs and consumption materials with priority to the dispensaries of Uran, Golole and Damballa Fachana, and with the possibility of gradual extension to other dispensaries in accordance to the economical availability and to the decisions taken by the PHT Mr. Waqo Kadu. |
9° The intention to follow-up the Health Workers, CHW, TBA and VHC, means: at least one course each three months with a duration of one week for each of the abovementioned groups has to be organized. |
10° The payments, according to the programmed and achieved activities forwarded to CCM office in Nairobi, will be done after presentation of invoice: |
° in advance to the realization of the activity concerning all management expenses |
° deferred after
the activities achievements and relative documentation concerning the personnel costs like allowances. |
11° For proper protection, the CCM identifies its consultant, Mr. Gufu D. Jaldesa of Sololo, to be the supervisor on the place for a correct application and the respect of this agreement. |
12° The prospected good success of this agreement will be the evidence of: |
a. the strong commitment of both parties |
b. the technical and managerial capacities |
c.
the future possibility to use similar agreements sustaining the development
of the Borana community and answering in a practical and efficient way
to their needs, not only concerning health, but also in other sector such
as instruction and business: |

° programmed activities |

- forwarding to CCM office in Nairobi a copy of the monthly report about the activities carried out according to the reports sent to the MOH Moyale |
- collection and transport from Nairobi to Sololo of the supplies requested to CCM Nairobi |
- official report writing |
The CCM – Italy has to provide for: |
- vehicle Land Rover 109 |
- running costs, everything included, limited to a maximum of 650.000,-- KSh. (sixhundredandfiftythousand) for 6 (six) months of activity, according to the following half-year estimations: |

Fuel for CCM car and PHO motorbike 125.000,00 |
