| Dear members of DEC who operates in the response to drought in North Kenya, I am contacting you after a suggestion from DEC: | |
| we are a small Italian Agency who is promoting drought's response intiatives in Sololo District (north Kenya, border to Ethiopia, 80 km from Moyale town) since January 2011. | |
We are not experts in EMERGENCY, but we have been forced to promote an immadiate response to drought since last January 2011: our beneficiaries (400 orphans and vulnerable children in the district and their families) where already suffering the effects of the drought but there were no other organizations on the field. |

| We are contacting you to inform how our response have been managed in the past months and where we are exactely operating in north Kenya; still nowaday no international organizations are present in the area to fight the drought, except us, but we are not as much structured as you are and this will make a huge difference in the possible future interventions. We are urgently seeking for a partnership. | |
| Please see the attached file for all the basical informations on our actions in Sololo District, also for what concerns the contacts you can activate for possible partnerships with us; the emergency is getting worst and we can't keep on supporting our privately financed programm in the district of Sololo up to the next rains. | |
| Any suggestions, critics or proposal to share our actions in the district of Sololo are welcome. | |
